Please note that effective January 2012; the Fuel Surcharge Mechanism will be based on 2 major global benchmarks - WTI & Brent. This initiative is a step towards ensuring that we compute the impact of rising Aviation Turbine Fuel effectively and correlate the benchmark rates and the actual ATF rates charged, thereby minimising the impact of this cost burden, due the distorted correlation of the WTI vs ATF etc.
The applicable Fuel Surcharge would be as per table given here under:
| WTI $ /BBL |

For every additional USD 3 $ per barrel there will be an increase of 2.5 % in FS.
The above Fuel Surcharge Calculation method in domestic services would be computed based on the WTI/Brent index as updated on the site of US Energy Information Administration. This method closely links the fuel surcharge to prevailing market prices for Aviation Turbine Fuel, and will help you respond more quickly to changes in fuel prices in the market place.
The current surcharge, effective 01 February 2012, is 67.5% on Domestic and Regional Services, and 25.0% on International Services.
